A Romans 11 Olive Branch | In what way are non-elect covenant members united to Christ?

I would be happy for the sake of peace and clarity to never again use “union with Christ” in reference to a non-elect covenant member. But we still need a biblical way to describe them and their relation to Christ, and that description cannot be the opposite of the biblical description. Christ has non-elect branches, and they are _______________ (what?) to Christ.

    Doug, why does it appear that you and other FV folks want to make a third class of humans, when scripturally there are only two, God’s elect children and other? It appears you are trying to develop a new version of Christianity and make some kind of historic name for yourselves. You are harming the historic church.

  2. Why don’t you just call them Auditors, like the Gnostics did? Seems entirely fitting, since the roots of TULIP are are found deep, deep in the manure of Manichaeism.

  3. Antagonism to TULIP has its roots in Original Sin. Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
